For the last ten years, the Aledo Education Foundation (AEF) has partnered with the community to provide private resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and maximize innovative For the last ten years, the Aledo Education Foundation (AEF) has partnered with the community to provide private resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and maximize innovative opportunities for all students in the Aledo Independent School District (AISD). Through the generous support of the Aledo community, we have been able to support many innovative grants and programs for AG, Career & Technical Education (CTE), PSATs for Sophomores, Reading & Literacy, Gifted & Talented, Robotics, Band, Journalism, Employee Crisis, and Safety & Security to name a few.
Providing funding to fill the gaps in public education is needed now more than ever. In the last 10 years we have raised more than $3.2 million for teachers and students of AISD. For the 2022-2023 school year, AEF awarded almost $255,000 to AISD, $74,000 in fast cash/teacher grants, provided another $75,000 in individual gift cards to ALL teachers in AISD, supported $34,000 in Bearcat Backers, and raised $21,000 for the CTE/CNA programs. Our grants and funding provide additional resources for our teachers and students and an opportunity for our community to engage in a meaningful way, to Empower Our Future by Strengthening Education.
Our hope is that you will join our Toast to 10 years, a celebration of our amazing donors, previous board members, and the many successes of AEF and AISD since 2013. With your help during our Fall Giving Campaign, we can raise the necessary funds to fulfill our mission and enhance the opportunities to fund programs that will directly benefit the teachers and students of AISD. We are fortunate to be a part of a caring and supportive community that understands the importance of education and our future. We remain grateful for your involvement and support of AEF and look forward to launching our next successful decade by being ALL in for EDUCATION and ALL in ALEDO!
